ART-CHEF

I was born and raised in Sifnos. Cooking is my passion and my art. That’s how I learned to grow up through simple everyday things and be inspired by nature, its colors, its scents. I smell the thyme, sage, oregano, and capers that sprout from the dry stone walls and rocks of my island, and each time a new culinary creation is born within me. So, with simple everyday ingredients from my homeland, I manage to take you on a culinary journey.

I love my island, the island of Tselementes, and my goal has always been, and continues to be, to select the best ingredients for the best taste, so that I can offer delicious treats and memories to visitors. I “see” the world through taste and “hunger” for better quality.
The greatest satisfaction I get from my work is their smiles!
My love of food made me dream of having my own place, where I could express myself through creativity. That’s how the idea for my own restaurant, Cayenne, was born. Since 2009, customers have been enjoying themselves with me at a party of disguised flavors that they can’t wait to try.

BRUSHES & PAINTS ON A CANVAS

Quite often, I also need to steal some time to escape, and what better way than to grab a pencil, a piece of paper, and sketch an image, a thought, a journey. Painting, like cooking, is intertwined for me; it is the means, the path to a great journey, but at the same time it is also the goal, the womb that you fertilize and give birth to flavors and images.
Like cooking, painting transforms my ideas into visual experiences, creating a symbiosis between art and gastronomy. Thus, through my brushstrokes, I transfer my imagination onto the canvas, developing a world of colors, flavors, and emotions that await exploration by the viewer.
